Shoichi Hasegawa is a worldwide famous print artist and painter. He was born in Yaizu, Japan in 1921.  At the age of 32 he went to Paris, France to study the wood block print techniques of color etching and aquatint.  He became one of the foremost makers of abstract color etchings. His works are in many public collections and have been exhibited worldwide.
